Questions
Do my workers need smartphones?
Yes, any basic Android phone or iPhone with a little data. MyFMS uses very little data. Workers can share one phone – each logs in with their own PIN.
Does it work for layers and hatching eggs?
Yes. Workers record eggs at every collection (full trays + loose eggs), you see the laying % against the target for the hens' age, and you get an alert when it drops. Incubators get temperature and humidity checks, turning, candling, lockdown and hatch-day tasks for chicken, duck, guinea fowl, quail, turkey and goose eggs. Hatched chicks can go straight into a house or be sold as day-olds.
Can I use it for vegetables and maize?
Yes. Add your fields and garden beds, choose the crop when you plant, and MyFMS gives the garden worker the fertiliser, spraying, weeding and harvest tasks for 29 crops – from maize and spinach to citrus and pasture. You can change every programme. Crops are included in all plans.
I only have cattle and goats – is MyFMS for me?
Yes. Start with 0 chicken houses: you get herding schedules, head counts, vaccinations, dipping, deworming and sick-animal reports. The Starter plan includes livestock.
How does the free trial work?
You get 14 days with everything switched on. No card needed. At the end, choose a plan and pay with PayFast (card, instant EFT and more).
Can I cancel?
Yes, any time in Setup → Subscription. You keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
Is my farm data safe?
Each farm's data is separate and private. Worker PINs are encrypted, workers can't see your sales figures or change your setup. See our privacy policy.
Can I change the feed programme, target weights and vaccines?
Yes. MyFMS comes with general broiler defaults – replace them with your chick supplier's chart and your vet's programme in Setup → Programmes.
